In wedge-friction problem, if the weight of wedge is not mentioned ,we can apply LAMI'S THEOREM for system of forces acting on both the block and the wedge.
If the weight of wedge is given then LAMI'S THEOREM is applicable only for the block and not for the wedge.
For system of forces acting on the wedge,unknown forces can be calculated using conditions of equilibrium(i.e. ΣFx =0 and ΣFy =0 ).
